My Mail-Adress (snail and/or E-mail)
I'm am FANCLUB 13 and I'm posting my addresses here but I have a VERY limited amount of artwork to share. Please do not be offended if I don't accept your request to trade or if you send me something unsolicited and get nothing in return. It doesn't mean I don't like your work, It's just that my works (though they might not look it) take a very long time to produce. Thanks for understanding.

RECYCLED TRASH AS ART:
I use things like old, cheesy record covers, postcards and trashy paperback book covers as a starting point for my hand-cut and paste collages. I then use only objects found on the ground, in the trash, junk mail or recycling bin. Sometimes incorporating my own Polaroid photographs. Then I leave them out in public as street art for everyone to enjoy (or destroy.) I have also started mailing small pieces out to some people.

Lance, I have read what you say about your limited production, that´s ok to me. If at some point in time you decide to go celestial....  This is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a celestial mail artist born and raised in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland.  A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time for you to start trading art. If it’s the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil

II look forward to see your piece in my terrene mailbox.  Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours.  This is nothing less than a celestial promise.  I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.

Thanks Lance. Everybody does their own 'thing' in IUOMA -- that's one of the reasons why it's so interesting -- and believe you me there are lots of different things out there in the weird and wonderful world of mail art and mail artists. Yep, add something to you bio -- not only will it make your position clear, but will, I am sure, be of interest to other people. And you may find some like souls here (if you are looking for any).

So send me something, or not -- an exchange is always possible.

It's 4th July -- MLiberté, Egalité et Art Postal!

Dear Lance ,

Goede morgen and Welcome to IUOMA!

It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.

You have to get started somewhere, and I wonder if you would like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back. (You're going to make it very difficult for yourself if you don't provide a postal mail address so you can receive things. Many people -- including me, I guess -- probably won't go through the hassle of sending you an email to getan address: why should they, this is supposed to e an easy form of communication?)

Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.

Regards,

Val Herman
