Why I am involved in Mail-Art:: My grandfather created mail art from his youth in the 1930's until shortly before his death in the early 2000's. I am writing a book about his envelope art and his courtship of my grandmother in the 1930's. The librarian at the U.S. Postal Museum suggested that your organization might have more information about envelope art for my research. These envelopes have sparked my interest, and I am interested in the fact that people are still creating mail art!
