Comment by Guido Vermeulen on August 31, 2011 at 11:43pm: Thanks, Zois and Lynn were a couple of times in Belgium and stayed as guests in my flat during their 1st visit, so for me these people are more than mail art connections, they are real friends. Does this matter? Not really! I made a mourning piece after that mad bombing of a government building in Oklahoma by an extreme right wing lunatic (a conceptual piece: a decorated stone in a handmade box, mailed that to Lavona Sherarts in StCloud, MN) and did a 911 project as well (second FRIOUR project in fact): asked people to keep a diary for a year after 911 and produced a 60 page magazine with excerpts, very moving and you can see the shifts of opinions on 911 during that year, don't ask me for a copy, extinguished a long time ago!
