Holy Cow DK, I just looked at your blog. You gained a lot of followers in one day. I think you qualify as having a cult following. Next step: One hit wonder. The Bifidus thing about Elvis is perfect. Your "I suck at this" slogan is amazing strategy. You should sell it to the corporations and the governments.

The head-banging children in your video made my day!!  :)  And Nancy's right about your installations being one-up even more blessed than Buddhist prayer flags.  They are their own kind of prayer flags!  Thank you De Villo for directing us towards the hyperlink of karma choling and enlightenment.  And thank you Diane for being patient with us as we found our way, and sharing your brilliance by reposting your video!

It's like Buddhist prayer flags, only better. Splendid, Diane! I wish we could feature you here. We're such a pathetically small state with a new, by-fluke, far-right, extremely stupid governor. Didn't see the "follow" thingy until De Villo mentioned it twice. Duh -- but I'm now an official follower. Go team go.

A private screening on DK's blog of the laundry line. I'm still her only follower. Don't worry DK. You have built it and they will come.

Wow, sixth times a charm. The video of my super clean dirty laundry up.  The black screen at the end is for the dance interlude (you dancing that is)

Yes, that's probably the laundry magic originally. (It certainly aint the housework that's appealing.) I also just like stuff blowing in the wind, maybe constantly-changing shadows? I was hoping you were putting up the video this morning and that's why I got nothing when clicking on it; please find a way! :--)  It sounds wonderful. In the meantime the bunch of clothespins got me right in the heart.

Thank you guys-your encouragement means a lot. I absolutely suck at self promo.  I've tried uploading the laundry line video a million times and it just won't work regardless of what format I use. Oh Well. I'll keep trying. It was a very fun project that took me about 6 months to complete. 1000 ft of laundry died in monochromatic sections. What is it Nancy that is so magical about laundry blowing in the breeze? I think it's because it reminds of of Aunts, Grandmas, etc.Who didn't get clotheslined as a kid?

"DK unplugged," what a riot. I don't get the impression she's plugged in all that much anyhow, thank god.

Wow, who knew? Thanks, De Villo, for telling on Diane. I just looked and have bookmarked you, Diane, and *could not believe* that you have one focus on laundry lines! Did you know that artistically I love laundry hanging in the breeze, and one of my all-time favorite paintings is a large John Singer Sargent watercolor of laundry? So musical. Love your installation. And your found-objects-in-wax pieces are amazing. Talk about similarities to Rauschenberg -- except he didn't know how to use encaustic, poor thing. I'm a fan of Diane; you have more than one; it will only grow.
