TRRH's Secret Mission to Korea - DharmaDaDa Grigster (disciple of master Erni Baer)

TRRH visits a secret, abandoned lab in Korea where the Monkey Purge began. Grigster is there waiting. He is dressed like DharmaDaDa Erni Baer. He claims Erni is his master & has enlightened him through Trashpo. He has RK (roadkill) branded on his forehead. He presses TRRH for the formula (of the cryptic circles). Shots ring out. Grigster escapes into the TOXIS pool.

Yip, that's it. And Wilson (I believe a buddy of Tim Leary?) wove intense conspiracy theories out of that involving the Illuminati and ultimately an Extra-Terrestrial presence on the planet. There are some so dazed and confused that they believe all this.

I do think Burroughs found a great metaphor using it in his writing.

Nice catch Angie. I couldn't believe the author of a anti-cult book was named Hassan.

As Erni well knows, both William Burroughs & Brion Gysin were fascinated with an ancient cult of Arabic assassins who believed (through duplicity) they had visited paradise and would return if they followed instructions. I think it's traced back to the 14th or 16th century and some have linked it to the Illuminati and all that craziness. It's in the roots of the word hassan: assassin. hashish. This legend is used in many of Burroughs' novels - well before the current situation.

Erni, I am enjoying your "Tales of German Beatnik Glory." This also includes your visit to the Manson Mink Ranch.

"Pipes of Pan" was an underground classic for years. When only vinyl was available, it was rare and expensive. It's not very good, but a curiosity, especially knowing Brion Gysin teamed up with the Rolling Stones.
