The counter balance of Erni's The Six Senses - Knife superstitions

I’m not sure if you are all aware of knife superstitions, but this 6th sense is sometimes considered serious stuff. So I took no chances and counter balanced Erni's gift of a knife by sending him this German coin. It's not worth anything now, but that's not the point.
In some places it is traditionally believed that the giving of a knife as a gift to a friend or Mail Artist will cut or sever the relationship, and may even cause postal strikes. To avoid such ill luck, the receiver should give a coin in return so as to "pay" for the gift.
Also stirring liquids or powders with a knife is often considered unlucky. One rhyme says, "Stir with a knife, stir up strife".
But I always say; “Open Mail Art with a knife brings it to Life.”
End of story, but a big thank you to Erni for what I concider major major.
