We're back to The TOXIS Adventure again: Yes, the organism itself could be of alien origin. We don't know how far it has spread. Why? TRRH is the only person who has complete knowledge of the original research that produced mail-art monkeys and later the mutated TOXIS organism. TRRH has amnesia as the result of her traumatic experiences. It does make sense, sort of.

Groot wants to reopen it because she thinks its a possibility. Isn't she supposed to be flying one of these days? That would explain that, thats that and that is that.

Ok, we're completely settled: Stuart believes Groot is an alien. Steve is TRRH's super computer at Central Command - like HAL in Space Odyssey or Mother in Alien. Resolved. Case closed.
