Never trust a dachsund (or a short person) it's arse is too close to, and it can drag it's balls on, the ground. That's why they are not used as newspaper dogs.

The Hison Buffalo lot are trying to discover a long-legged dachsund that is reputed to be lost in Sspace. Bang. Whallop; Ouch.

Is the dog some kind of detective we send out for lost information? Or is the dog lost? Are we lost in space somewhere? Can we settle the Big Bounce (before the Big Bang)? Or did we lose our senses when we sent the dog out to sort out the daily news?

another reader reports:Back in the wintery days of my Kansas youth, my father trained one of our dachshunds
to go out through the snow to the edge of the road and retrieve the morning newspaper.
It was enough of a sight to see the little dachshund navigate the drifts like the Loch Ness Monster.
My father praised the dog mightily for this feat.

And then of course one particularly snowy morning, the inevitable happened. My father arose
and looked out the living room window to discover that his faithful news hound had gone to
every house in the neighborhood and had brought all the papers to our doorstep.

Woof!

No wonder it's lost --bthere ain't no houses there to deliver newspapers to.

Nice.

I hope someone rescues him or he finds his way home.

Woof!
