Does anyone know the difference between "upper stiff lip" and "stiff upper lip" ?

Let's assume that the Caniche dog is some sort of French poodle, right?

Then I can now tell you my theory about French civil servants and their poodles.

On retirment after 30 odd years service to the state, lower grade French civil servants are given black poodles; middle grade ones receive white poodles; upper middle/lower senior grade ones get brown poodles; and senior civil servants receive sort of creamy-coloured poodles, referred to as 'champagne' colour. Ex Cabinet Ministers get giant poodles.

Sarkozy has a dachsund, a Mexican Hairless and a Carlo Bruni.

I have 2 cats.

And Dean has sliding drawers.
