Things can be quiet, or quietist in Kansas. maybe ominous would be a better word. sin is everywhere and it is INVISIBILE, or not very easily reified. Kantians might think so, but it still is in the eye of the beholder. perhaps they would even agree. as for the little boy: THAT IS I, THE ARTIST dragging you over my creation.

I had a lot of work over with that target. I tried making it round, but that was far too weak for the balance. I tried changing the color, but then I lost the DEVIL'S RED AND BLACK. So I settled for the lozenge--something on the order of a double Devil's Triangle. The lines are just abrupt enough to stop eye movement to the left, and...of course match the angles of the church.
This is my landscape stamp construction: a clever sky (clouds are curves and very telling), a lonesomely expansive foreground and some isolated story element, very often shoved to one side.

I often have an empty central focus--the movement is expressed as a merry-go-round using all the edges without losing the eye to the outside.

Here I have done that with the lettering top, target left, lettering bottom, church right onto the edge, but then blocking with the steeple.

Someone is always telling me that I have done something wrong.

And do you know who is at the head of the list?

Me.

Haha!

How can I ever go wrong with your stamps? This is a goooood one!

I'm not angry.

But attention has been drawn to my so-called 'sins', so perhaps I'm a sinner.

Or perhaps, à la the Moody Blues, that should be a 'singer':

"And you're the only other person to know, don't tell me
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band."

You can't go wrong with this stamp.
