Once again, thank you a lot for these photos of Soviet actors and actresses. I am a big fan of this type of retro femininity - I find it so elegant and beautiful. It is nice to hear there are still carries of this type of femininity in your country, although they may be in rural areas.

This is a special type of Russian femininity that persisted for a long time, until the cultural and sexual revolution of the late 20th century. Today's power brokers would arrogantly call this type too patriarchal, too conservative, too dependent on outdated gender stereotypes. However, today in the Moscow metro I sometimes see very provincial women who have come to our crazy capital from distant Russian towns, and they are still carriers of this conservative type of femininity, which has not been erased by the power of progress.
