Wow, this is complex, great job Nik!!

Well, it depends, once the hole has disappeared we'll be left with another hole. And so on. Where will it stop?

Man Marie, the concept is the disappearance of art, not the entire world.

I'm glad this hole got the attention it deserves. I loved the concept. I told Niklas he could make a piece of performance art by video taping the piece of cardboard while it disappears being bombarded by electrons, but he said the camera would disappear as well :-))))

Thank's De Villo Sloan. Appreciated. And good luck with the Hole project!

@Dark Wall; Would like to see it one day; the portrait AND the void.

The discussion makes more sense for readers if you can see Niklas Heed's comments with the work or saw Empress Marie's blog commentary:

"Niklas kindly told us a little bit more about this piece. Using electron accelerators in his work, he can project electrons through a cannon-like device to make them hit and alter any material placed in front of it.

At high speed, the material becomes porous, which is what happened to this piece of cardboard and which is why it became so voracious. Niklas’ experimental parameters were carefully designed so as to reach a kind of equilibrium or perfect conditions for making holes. Had he altered the electrons’ speed even more, the material would have fallen apart as atoms get smashed off the board. A disappearing hole. A future hole. A self-eating hole, a bit like quicksand."

Theoretical, conceptual, materialist - however you frame it - Bravo for a thought-provoking contribution to the show. I know this idea never crossed my mind.

I am into anti-matter in the way that photons that are produced in high energy is in itself both matter/anti-matter. It's the same as getting 2 for the price of 1, but may not be as easy to handle.

CrackerJack Kid drawed a portrait of me where I'm meditating just like Trungpa Rinpoche looking into The Void.

I can understand why you did make some of the choices with this piece.

You venture into anti-art. Then why not anti-matter?

Thank's for the warning De Villo Sloan! It's a fine line between all the holes out there but I can't make them black holes nor curve space. I do bend the light a little bit though.

Sounds to me like You did some good old Vertigo Hellblazing getting him out of the black hole. Keep on keep on!
