This is going to an old college friend. The building is the dorm we both lived in, which was torn down last year. The portrait is of the woman the building was named for.

The drawing was made with art pens over watercolor washes. The two different browns were both made with coffee. The blue was from a standard watercolor set.

Thanks! I had a lot of false starts with this piece. The verso was supposed to be two different layers of gel-medium transfer, but I almost destroyed the watercolor peeling the paper off the second transfer!  I ended up building the back in Publisher and pasting it on all as one piece.

The pixelation is something I do with all the pieces I post online. Figure I should leave it up to others whether I publish their home addresses. :-)

fantastic piece - commemorating a demolished commemoration! ....and all the coffee it takes to get through college or mailart sprees.
the internet-addition of pixelling out the addresses somehow looks perfectly also. i'm fond of such things ;)
