I wish I knew. I thought the image was very powerful, that's why I cut her out. I tried looking up images from the book, but cannot find it. I referenced the book, but do not own it. Maybe someone who does, or stumbles on the image online can tell you, but you are probably right!

And I think the top lady is Diane von Furstenburg?

It makes sense: Guy=fencing. Girl=fishnets. It's all about what mental neighborhood your brain is in when you see it.

Hi Natasha, thought you'd be more likely to find my comment here than on the blog. Thinking the fishnet was chicken wire or snow fence probably seemed a little strange. I'm used to looking at a lot of assemblages. Both Karen Champlin and Cheryl Penn have recently used actual metal screening in their work (Karen's might have been plastic, but you know what I mean). So do you sort of get why my mind would have gone that way? I immediately understood when Jen Staggs explained it, and it makes more sense - so all is in harmony. Thanks again.

I am really happy you are both interested in the work. De Villo, you are correct about my process, but digital collages does sound interesting. Maybe i'll have to try it sometime Jen!

Hi Jen, I'm blogging a piece I received from Natasha right now. This is traditional cut-out collage - very meticulous cutting. I thought it was digital too. I'm very interested in what she's doing with fashion photography - haven't resolved it in my mind - but this is very unique work I like.

This is really wonderful too- I love the fishnet detail, the depth, are these digital collages?
