I do.

Surely I'm allowed to offer comments to Ian as well?

Peace.

Santa.

Earlier today...
VMH:
"Duchamp was never going to win the Tour de France with his bicycle wheel on a stool.
Nor was he going to win many prizes for his urinal.
Or his stools.
As I don't know what, if anything, achaeopteryx* means, I cannot comment on it's influence on Duchamp studies except to say go and ask Mrs Duchamp."

"* and don't tell me, 'cos I probably won't understand it anyway."

ICD:

" best answer I've had about that dead acheoppteryx"

(NB.  Alas,  won't be sending a series of messages in the next few hours  about what time it is in Europe or when I'm going to bed, or even what this stamp is all about because the latter is obvious --  acheoppteryx -- and the other two can't really be of interest.)

FOUNDLING ART! In his Logischer Aufbau der Welt Carnap appeals to Gestalt psychology to justify his choice of unitary, holistic elemental experiences over sensory atoms as the domain of the auto-psychological constitution system.  Francis Bacon was among the first to argue that human ingenuity can discover the hidden laws of nature, under the metaphor of solving the encrypted Book of Nature. “Let me recommend this Logical Maxim to you,” Peirce writes, “Never allow yourself to think that any definite problem is incapable of being solved to any assignable degree of perfection”.  However, that doesn’t imply agreement.

Leon Horsten: philosopher much taken by RNA molecule transcription

Urban archeology and the modern archaeopteryx: what does all this all mean for Duchamp studies?
