You are very good at bear baiting DVS but one day it is going to get you. Groot-Barbie, I'm waiting to see her reaction on that one. And TRRH-innocence, oh you ARE living dangerously!

Now we know the sun is starting to rise in SA, so let me start the bear baiting: The hair has been interesting from the start. I can say very objectively - the Groot character always looks like Barbie. She's a stereotype in terms of appearance, although her character is deeper. Now, TRRH goes through stunning hair transformations - the perm in the last one is one example - and of course this TRRH with braids is one of my favorites, which I think is a reflection of her basic innocence? It's not all about shoes - there's a lot going on with hair.

I thought Groot has always been blond and TRRH with dark hair. But you're right, in the very first comic TRRH was blond for some strange reason, but turned brunette within the same comic :-))

Another REALLY esoteric note, now that I get into it. The character used to depict Groot in this was actually used to depict TRRH in the very first Toxis Adventure. If I remember correctly, TRRH started out as a blond, but that changed very quickly - some real identity confusion going on.

Wow Marie - as strange as it sounds, there are two trinities: TRRH, Groot & Dw then Mom, Ray & TRRH - TRRH being the common factor. There might be more to this thing than I thought - good call on the yellow & red for peach and cherry; it works.

Shoe is lower right-hand under the monkey, says "Savings!" an ad for high heels doubling as a call for spiritual salvation. Groot is one of the only two mourners, but does not play a major role, although she too is facing away from Dw, now that I look at it. The mass of tape/bandaids are also in the shape of a cross. I don't know, there is a trinity of TRRH, Groot, and DW. Marie=Mary, if there is any connection. This, like "Stations of the Cross" borrows from Christian iconography and art, but I think overall the connections are somewhat loose and that component is probably mocking traditional art more than anything - but clearly Dw's belief in his martyrdom and his connection, even if complex, to TRRH and Groot seems heartfelt. Well, again, glad you saw more in it than run-of-the-mill trashpo.

Spoiler alert: there will soon be more cp-sa wounds, you can look forward to that.

I don't know how to interpret TRRH facing away. She does seem to be apologetic. And (very sexy) Groot crying under the crucifix replicates the crucifixion with Jesus' mum crying for him. But that would make Groot DW's mum, a bit far fetched in my mind :-))) it's just that the whole scene .... I don't know ... I can't find words.

You know, Marie, the whole focus of the thing really has to do with the question of TRRH facing away from DW. The crucified figure (from a child's Jesus coloring book) is looking at her, but she has turned away. I'm not satisfied I understand that part.
