My FaceBook friend Charlie Holt who I met for the first time yesterday at the Link Gallery at MMU in Manchester. We put up a small show of Marilyn postcards inspired by Warhol - a collaborative project Charlie set up on FB.

I guess you can if you join Facebook and join the group Charlie Holt set up.  All those images are in the archive.

Can I go to facebook and get up close to the images?

Yes, it was all done on FaceBook so not really a mail art project.  Charlie printed out all the collaborations that were done back and forth with the Warhol Marilyn portrait and we pinned them up for the students at Interactive Arts course at MMU to have a look at and take part in if they were so inspired.

Hiya Michael Leigh,   A. Sleep tells me she dropped her whole head into your project.......project, and her response are both inspiring.  Find myself peering in to see what else is in that collection behind you on the wall.

Thanks Erin , Stripygoose and Angelica.  yes, it was a fun project. Good that you saw the m.a. show in Folkestone Stripygoose - I wish i could have seen it too. A bit far for me up here in Cheshire.  It's true- not many m.a. shows in the UK.  I've done a few over the years at Walsall Art gallery with Hazel Jones, The Whitechapel Open back in the 80's. A few smaller ones around the country.

I like the look of this! Mike I saw your neat mailart down at the Folkestone mailart exhibition on Wednesday - great collection with lots of iuoma people and lots of others too. Don't often get m-a exhibs in England as far as I'm aware?

Sorry, not very good at adding notes to these things.  Hazel's students run this small gallery just outside the Interactive Arts studios where she works at MMU.  Charlie is a collagist too.  Nice chap.  Only met him yesterday after couple of years on FaceBook collage groups etc.  A lot of the Marilyn images were manipulated by photoshop which I'm not really into, but fun to try once and awhile.
