De Villo Sloan, thank you for your interest. I am new here so I am still learning how to add photos with descriptions of what they are. This was a sheet of papyrus the sender had gotten in Cairo and he wrote a letter to me, rolled it up, tied it with a ribbon and mailed it to me.  it traveled very well through the postal system.

And if you don't mind, Cynthia, what's this? I'm only being inquisitive because the things you have posted are really interesting (IMHO) but I don't understand what they are or where they are coming from (in an artistic sense). So it's genuine curiosity.
