I would LOVE to do a graphic novel, comic book or manga themed March...we should put it in the Theme page. Also throw in some animation for the fun of it. !!!
  • Rani Solhaug

McFloozy I just read a little write up on "Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic" by Alison Bechdel. It looks like it could be a good read. Her process is what is most interesting though, she photographed herself posing as each character as a refrence for her drawings....very cool!
  • Rani Solhaug

I would let you borrow our roof rake if you make it to the Twin Cities! My friends and I were just saying that the east coast is getting the worst of it this year, we feel for you guys! Well hopefully youre able to enjoy a little bit of it, I myself am about done with the snow and the cold and we're not even into our snowiest months yet!

Your wall is now up on my REAL wall!

Thank you, Sue! What a great surprise to receive your 365 card! I think it is No.88? A beauty...bird in the hot peppers! And a great envelope, too. Can you be patient until mid April? you are on my mailing list for "Spring-365"! See you in the mail!

  • Mim Golub Scalin

Here's the winking eye card. love it. I think I'll do a bit of "plastic" surgery and re-attach the eye.

hi, box652 aka McFloozy, glad to meet your here! i've saw your comment on mailart365, the 121.48°E is the longitude of Shanghai, China, also the name of the mailart call i held. i will post you something soon.

    enjoy your day

    best

    Amo aka lazybunny

  • hi sue! got your "enlightenment" piece today.

is that thich nhat hanh on the left?!?!

    i could swear it's him???

if it is that is super awesome!

like i said in the comment, he got me through gabriel's death

and even my wife will appreciate it!

if not, it's close enough i can pretend ;-)

as amanda'd say in her french accent: "super-cool!"

  • charlotte is seven.

amanda's age is under a nondisclosure agreement.. :-/

    heehee

  • no, just amanda and charlotte ;-)

    charlotte goes to willowwind (willowwind.org),

it's pretty much like what i imagine montessori,

maybe it even is one, idk?

but she's transferring to public school in the fall.

she'll probably end up at the school gabriel went to before he died.

she wants to go there, but we're waiting to see what other

schools are available (there is one in particular amanda has her eyes on)

  • no cape.

i had one when i was little though!

we've had our issues with the school,

2 weeks after gabriel died the teacher filed a child abuse report on amanda because charlotte had a small bruise on her arm, which of course was an accident. i cannot begin to tell you the emotional suffering that little incident caused me...

    i stopped volunteering after that.

but all in all it's been a decent experience, not worth the money in my opinion, but i don't pay for it so i can't complain ;-)

A pleasure to be your friend too Sue (although I always considered you one before I added you anyway)

As for the wedding, I think I've had quite enough wedding for this year! We're going to go camping or something instead, but we will be doing a special Wedding REAL wall to commemorate the wedding of the year ;-)

I didn't realise you were a teacher Sue - Do you do mailart with your students? If so, I'm looking for a little help with a new project. Take a look at www.schoolswaps.net and see what you make of it. Any feedback most welcome! I'm just getting started on this one... :-)

  • Mim Golub Scalin

You're IN McFloozy. Yes, it'd  be very cool if the rubber stamp could get passed forward (or is it backwards, in this case?)
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Hi Sue! Thank you for the great "mosaic" mail art that came today. And the lovely origami star! Lots of work, eh? Well it is your #197 so you are more than half way to the "365"...go girl!
