Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I like communication, art, paper, painting and concepts. The ideal combination for doing Mail-Art. Worked with rubberstamps as a child and started sending out letters as soon as I could write. Discovered that it was called mail-art in 1980. Have been discovering ever since and in the last years also promoting this free cultural exchange.

    the project is to make mailbox art involving a local community. we have formed a team called the Mark Making Manifesto, and we have invited staff from a local cat protection charity to draw pictures of cats.. with their eyes closed! This is both a fun and revealing exercise. You have to trust yourself, and draw without the obvious hand-eye co-ordination. The results so far , as tested by fellow students and friends, have been equally interesting and amusing. The final multiples that we send out will all incorporate the cat protection charity's logo and a brief description of their work, to promote their wonderful charity and raise awareness of their hard work.

    Ruud,  that was a great idea to start a Richard C fan club collection in IUoMA - every time I pass through there, it is tremendous and refreshing pleasure......also works well at establishing a historical reference.                     p.s.                                                                                                                 I see below that Claudio Romeo is suggesting that this Ning platform might not last - if that is the case, will you be able somehow to archive the material from here that warrants archiving?  not.terryreid@hotmail.com
