Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
Was involved in the cassette / music side of mailart in the 1980s /90s. The whole idea of a network of artists connected by the postal system appealed to me and was an antidote to the stranglehold the 'Art / Music' establishment had over my creativity.

I have always considered mailart to be one of the major unsung heroes of Art History and every effort should be made to raise its profile.

    I´m 62.  I remember a certain night, it was 1960.  I was living with my family in Los Angeles, Chile. We all went to the city airport, a small one, because of the shadow cone arround the property.  At some point in time a finger pointed out what seemed to me a bright star travelling arround the black sphere. It was my first contact with the world of rockets.  It was the Laika bitch, the very first breathing being to go outside the planet.  I can understand you well, to go to the space was just a Julius´ Verne dream by the time.
