The stamp depicted here is doubly rare, so much so that I doubt anyone here has one in their archives. It pays the Intergalactic Rate which is rare enough, but also bears the image of a 6-fingered alien hand. This species originates from outside our galaxy, is 10 feet tall (3 meters per witness in South America, also corroborated with a Chinese witness). The stamp bears appropriate postal markings and is largely intact as issued with only a detracting crease present in the lower margin.
What a great idea to give AI image-rendering software; a crisp packet.
I like how the last one has what looks like "NORPETH", almost correct for the Northumberland town of "MORPETH". In general, the text is getting much better than just a short while ago. Placing text in double quotations helps.
Here is what 1957 Ford T-Bird plus some other terms revealed . . .
Loving these variations and wondering what the prompts were. Experiments by awyn reminds me that the North West Phillumenists will be hopefully returning soon. Great fun sorting though all their stamps. Bradford - the cat on the tin of sardines? most bizarre!
I like the one where he's balancing the umbrella on his nose - even Gene Kelly missed that opportunity in "Singing In The Rain" . Altogether a nice set of stamps Awyn. The treasure chest is amazing and very 3D - really jumps off the screen Bradford! Thanks for sharing!
BIG NEWS! DALL-E has "inpainting" which will augment an image such as when you delete something you don't want in the picture, but announced "outpainting" such as when you want to extend an image to make it larger according to the rendering style already employed. I haven't played with "edits" yet on DALL-E.
Thanks for the reminder Bradford. I have changed the title of the group. I expect it will change again. Not tried the "outpainting" yet and barely touched on the edit or other functions.
Well, "outpainting" debuted today, but the demand was chompin' at the bit and overwhelmed the site which crashed about 5 hours ago. The good news is that they gave everyone who has accepted the DALL.E invite 50 free credits as a "sorry 'bout that".
Tried the "outpainting" but rather baffled by it I must admit - need a tutorial to show me what all the buttons do! Maybe there s one on YouToob - will have to look.
Awyn , yes DALL E. 2 is in Beta right now. You had to sign up for it. Not sure if you still can. Its getting more sophisticated. Here's my latest effort using the new "over painting" thingy where you can stretch the image and add bits and rub bits out.
Great work, Michael. You've got the hang of it now. I like how it gives you four choices for a proposed edit. I often like at least two of them to pursue.
The Beta testing is open to the first 1 million applicants. To see if you can join the waitlist, try this link: https://labs.openai.com/waitlist
Cheers Bradford. Yes, slowly getting the hang of it. Here's another of some ruins I did this morning. Not really how I intended but interesting all the same!
These look like the real thing Mick. Thanks for sharing. I seem to have lost interest in artifical intelligence just lately but wiull get back to it soon. I still have a few credits.
Hi everyone, so glad to have found the group as most people panic at anything that has to do with AI, as a professional artist I find it absolutely intriguing as to the possibilities of what lies into the future for us all, let's embrace this understand it and be able to live with it:) any comments
Welcome ThomasB - Thanks for joining us. Yes, not a great deal of interest in AI here on IUOMA it has to be said! Even the members of this group seem bored with it now after an initial flurry of activity? Anyway, I do find it intriguing and it amuses me to dabble in it from time to time as you can see. Have you tried any other AI apps and what, if any, are the differences between them? Craiyon seems very bad at doing faces or maybe it's my prompts that are too vague? Here's a new one -
Learned about midjourney before dalle and it pulled me in, so I haven't had much experience with dalle. A set of ten images relating to intergalactic mail art from July 2022, using Midjourney AI.
Thanks Thomas , Bradford and Adam - great images. I have rather lost interest in Dalle 2 and Craiyon. Nice toys to experiment with but I must admit I prefer cutting up bits of paper and gluing them on other bits of paper - the effect is just as strange and interesting for me!
It's understandable. I'd still be playing with Midjourney if I had the extra time and money. Not giving up on it yet. The main problem for me was that it could be a lengthy process of experimenting with prompts and refining results and then MAYBE it would give you what you were looking for or close enough to it. I got plenty of great images out of it, but the rate was probably 100 great images to several thousand images I wouldn't consider sharing because of so many things that were off by a little or a lot. Guess I'll get back to drawing by hand.
