IF I'M LOOKING KIND OF DAZZLED
I SEE NEON LIGHTS WHENEVER YOU WALK BY
    DON'T GET ME WRONG
IF YOU SAY "HELLO" AND I TAKE A RIDE
UPON A SEA WHERE THE MYSTIC MOON
IS PLAYING HAVOC WITH THE TIDE
    DON'T GET ME WRONG ..........

Vacation ha! I'm working flat out! My wonderful time in Iceland is now just a fond memory... yesterday I finished putting together the CD with 125 of the best of this years crop of Iceland photos, Kate your copy of the CD was dropped in the post box today.

Does anyone know the inches size for the A.S.Popov call on Space? It is 35x25 cm. Not in an envelope seems very large and on cardboard.
  • Judy Skolnick

Thanks Susan, I guess it means I have to send it in a large flat envelope so it doesn't get folded up.
  • Judy Skolnick

It would go to Russia but I do not think I am doing it.
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Great studio space, rod, me is waiting for that CD! Yeah! Thanks a lot.
And about that Space mail art call: 35 X 25 cm / 14 X 10 inches does seem like a large size cardboard mailing. I would put it in a large envelope with those plastic bubbles, BUT the mail art call says definitely NOT in envelope :-(
My Greek postal clerks will not agree to send it, they always frown at me and say they will not take reponsibility if the "art" gets damaged.
I think the "Space" mail art exhibit in Russia wishes to have the art and the cancelled postage to be on the exhibited piece, probably will be hung and turning....from what I remember of the first Popov exhibit, it will be in a huge exhibition/communication hall.
  • Judy Skolnick

They have had great exhibits but the size has always been easy to send.
  • Eduardo Cardoso

Currently suffering a mind block. I can't create mail art. I don't feel inspired. I'm gonna cry and send my tears through mail...
  • Eduardo Cardoso

Maybe you're right. I'll see what I can do tomorrow. :)
  • Rod Summers / VEC

Eduardo, please stop crying! There are sparks coming out of my keyboard and your tear drops are staining the polished wood of my desktop.

ah winter draws nigh and evening is upon us, time to prepare the meal of the day, a starter of sliced tomato and mozerella cheese followed by rice, carrots and vegetarian schnitzels with saté sauce, please excuse me whilst I wend my way to the kitchen.
Chantal, I have missed you, would you care to join us for dinner?
  • Rod Summers / VEC

... and, by the way... anyone got a good recipe for pumpkin, I love it roasted in the oven with olive oil or as soup but there must be some other way to prepare delicious/nutricious?
  • Judy Skolnick

I am coming Chantal, I love pumpkin in anything, curry too with pumpkin.
  • Rod Summers / VEC

Perhaps dear ladies we should have a virtual banquet, my garden produced enough pumpkins to feed.... 5000... virtually. I have a real cupboard downstairs that is full to overflowing with the jellies I made this year, Blackberry and Apple (superb), Quince (sublime flavour), Tay berry and finally Wocesterberry (however that is supposed to be spelled) but I have to admit that pumpkin jam recipe looks tempting, however because of the stock in cupboard I will pass on it this year... curry eh? and a whole page of recipes, thanks and thanks again.
  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    ..and pumpkin pie,
I am coming for the feast, Rod, and Chatal, and Judy, and Susan and Elizabeth, and Ruud, and Eduardo, and everyone...
  • Judy Skolnick

Make pumpkin butter, like apple butter, almond butter it is a different consistency than jams, preserves and jellies and spreads on breads, cakes etc. Wonderful stuff!
  • Eduardo Cardoso

Pumpkin goodies and it's almost halloween... :D NICE! Should we make a virtual banquet? HAHAHA!
  • Zois

Treat Pumpkin as you would apples.
Pumpkin in slices, not too fat, laid out in a pie crust. Add all the butter sugar and the usual cinnnemamon and other pumpkin spices. Maybe they should be mixed into the P slices Before they meet the crust.

Caveat: I seldom cook however the results are surprisingly successful since I make them up from what I've eaten, r have around, or just like a lot such as pumpkin.
