"Cut up or shut up"
"When you cut into the present...
the future leaks out."
  • De Villo Sloan

I recently received a cut-up piece (or a later generation mutation thereof anyway) from Juan Lopez de Ael (Spain).

  • MONTE CON O SIN SAFOS

This is a xerox composite of Burroughs with manual typewriter transcriptions from cut-ups using mostly Burroughs and Gysin interviews.

Photocopying the image onto envelopes each made unique with different text elements.

    Word Salad.

Sometimes I'll number words and use dice rolls.

These make it easy to assemble by sight as I type.

This one solves a DVS mail mystery.

John Bennett's posted cut-up is marvelous. Love the red  streaks (flames, blood?) the different colors of text, and of course, "slabbo hen l oot" which I'm going to use as a writing prompt for my poetry group.

  • John M. Bennett

Ha! - Toni, send me some results from that prompt!
