I am new to Envelopes and thought you might like to see a couple I am sending out. Though I made the sombrero envelope a while ago I was thinking about the images that were "stolen" off the internet either .
Many fantastic envelopes have been sent my way over the past year and a half [my IUOMA journey thus far] I will have to just start sharing what is recent and go from there . . .
This envelope was sent my way from Piro [R. Rios] . . . Piro always has some great artwork to share.
Back panel [top] and front panel [bottom]. This is one of two envelopes I received from Mars on the same day [!!!]. As much as I enjoy them both, I'm going to just share this one today because I'm a sucker for robot heads [not so much for Putin heads] . . .
Okay, so this envelope is clear and doesn't have much on it other than a stamp [2.15!] and an air mail sticker. However, showing what is inside and the embroidered name on the address label [I love that] provides every bit of eye candy as though it was on the envelope itself.
Richard addressed and posted the other side of this envelope, but this, the back panel, was the icing on the cake. This was the first piece Richard has sent me, so I am excited to open it up and see what awaits for the recipient.
I always think of Ruud as one of the busiest guys around, so when he has the time to send something my way, I am always pleased. When he takes the time to get out the paints to adorn the envelope, it's extra special. Thanks Rudd!
I love the fish rubber stamp prints, I love the 'Air mail' sticker (a special one!), and most of all I love the Platypus! Not one, not two, but Many Platypus!
I hope I still can post this in the 'envelopes' group, as it is more stamp than envelope :-)
The back side and content I'll post in the Orange group, but first I wanted to share my happiness due to these stamps showing one of my all-time favourite animals. Thank you very much, Vizma!
I am new to the group. I've noticed some of the addresses on the envelopes here are blurry to protect privacy. How do you blur the address? Thanks very much for any help.
I have to ask why is it a lot of people don't cover the postal addresses to protect the privacy of the person who sent them some mail art before posting it here on the site ? I know if I sent someone some mail art I wouldn't want my address still showing on the envelope for everyone to see.
