OH OH OH, Looks like Mim is getting the hang of this banana stuff.

A few pieces of mail art that fell under the auspices of my 365.3 were over come by bananas. The rest will be posted next week giving them time to cross the continent, the border, and the ocean.

     OH yes Angie, I also have an extra one which I will send you right away.  Actually it is one that was rejected.

     From Mim: A banana taking a refreshing dip in the lake.  And this isn't any ordinary lake, it's Hiwassee Lake. 

     For those of you who may not know where it is, well it's in Western North Carolina.  This is where fellas have guns on gun racks in their pick-up trucks and bananas in their glove compartments.

     Sometimes they confuse the two and ... well I don't need to paint a picture.  It ain't no very pretty picture ya know.  But this is;

Oh happy me. Got home late from a day in Washington D.C. where we went to see the Ai Weiwei exhibit. Tired, but happy to see 5 bananas waiting for me. I'll post images tomorrow. Thanks to Dean, Kat, Carina, Louise, and Alicia. Woo Hoo, this is so fun. Dean, your description of Western North Carolina makes me think you have been there!

Yehaw, Mim! We've seen the "Dukes of Hazard" to reckon how the shotguns is in them thar pickup trucks...and bananas in the glove compartments. hahaha, too funny, Dean!

p.s. The guy with all the bananas in some of the cards i sent out is the Banana Man from a children's TV show, Captain Kangaroo. If you are too young or not raised in the States it may not mean much to you. 

The original Banana Man act consisted of Proper pulling various objects out from under his coat, including 300 bananas.

I do remember the Banana Man. Wow, Alicia, thanks for the memories. I intend to use the banana cake recipe, Louise. I have a large collection of them. I may be a beginner in some arenas of bananicity, but I'm a banana cake baker from waaay back.  Waiting for today's mail to see if any bananas arrive.

Ooh la la, the quintessential banana course from Dean.  This mailart has everything: a map, some festive snowflakes, foam l'Arcs, a story, and lots of banana humour.  Just so you know...
