or AJUIN. There is a Flemish town in Belgium where its people are called "ajuinefretters". (eaters of onions, if I remember correctly it is the town of AALST).
AJUIN is also a nickname for the police, the cops. Why, I don't know? Maybe most police make people cry, that's why!

My wife's family was from Czechoslovakia and their last name was "Cibula" which meant onion in their Slovak language.
