Edmund arrived in Amstelland, too!

I always thought that Edmund traveled by Mail Art. But recently I got a weird call from the Airport. Someone was expecting to land at Schiphol Airport, and was asking for me to take him off the airport. I heard his name and smiled from ear to ear.…Continue

Edmund on the Nullarbor

Started by Rose. Last reply by Heleen de Vaan Oct 1, 2014. 6 Replies

A part of Edmund's recent trip to Western Australia entailed crossing the wide, open plains of the Nullarbor: the treeless plain that stretches across South and West Australia, alongside the Great Australian Bight. Luckily, it was a warm, sunny day…Continue

Magpies and the acropolis, what could be better! + Sounds mythical! Its wild how they clean it stone by stone, i always wanted to be an archaeologist!

I love magpies (in NL we call them 'ekster') and their family members (crows, ravens).

Beautiful picture of the grey-black-white dovewith similar background (and of the famous Acropolis of course!)!

That's the Parthenon atop the Acropolis in Athens.

All the scaffolding is on the west end, as they are

laser cleaning the marble. Many stones have actually

been removed and taken to workshops for cleaning too.

The east end and south columns are somewhat cleaner and

beautiful in the sunshine :-)

Yes, Neil, it's a magpie...in the family of "craw, craw" crow birds!
