Project 26

A new collaborative mail art book project

To launch the new group we invite 26 artists to participate in a collaborative mail art book.  It is named Project 26 as each participant will be given a letter of the alphabet assigned on a first come, first served basis.  With your designated letter of the alphabet you will have to make up/imagine a NEW archeological  find.   Something that has never been discovered before.  An artifact of your imagination. 

Please note:

1) You will need to make 26 copies of your work so that each participating artist receives a copy and has a complete a – z book at the conclusion of the project.

2)  The format is the same for the Alexander 2010 project.  See the blog

3)  Do not bind your section together , we will publish binding instructions during the course of the project.

4) If you commit to this project, please do not pull out once you have started receiving sections.  This is unfair to the artists who submit work for your enjoyment.

Un nuovo progetto di libro di arte di posta collaborativo

Per lanciare il nuovo gruppo invitiamo 26 artisti a partecipare in un libro di arte di posta collaborativo. È nominato Progetto 26 poiché ogni partecipante sarà dato una lettera dell'alfabeto assegnato su un è venuta dapprima, la base dapprima servita. Con la sua lettera designata dell'alfabeto lei dovrà l'inventare/immagina una NUOVA scoperta archeologica. Qualcosa che non è mai stato prima scoperto. Un artefatto della sua immaginazione. Per favore nota: 1) Lei dovrà fare 26 copie del suo lavoro in modo che ogni artista che partecipa riceve una copia e ha un completo un – z il libro alla conclusione del progetto. 2) Il formato è lo stesso per l'Alexander 2010 progettano. Vedere il blog 3) non lega la sua sezione insieme, pubblicheremo delle istruzioni obbligatorie durante il corso del progetto. 4) Se lei affida a questo progetto, non estrae per favore una volta lei ha cominciato le sezioni di ricevere. Para lanzar el nuevo grupo que invitamos a 26 artistas a tomar parte en un libro cooperativo de la arte de correo. Es denominado Proyecto 26 como cada participante será dado una carta del alfabeto asignado en un primer viene, sirvió primero base. Con su carta designada del alfabeto usted tendrá que hace/imagina un NUEVO hallazgo arqueológico. Algo que nunca ha sido descubierto antes. Un artefacto de su imaginación. Favor de notar: 1) deberá hacer 26 copias de su trabajo para que cada artista que participen reciben una copia y tienen un completo un – libro Z en la conclusión del proyecto. 2) El formato es el mismo para el Alexander 2010 proyectan. Vea el blog 3) no ata su sección juntas, nosotros publicaremos instrucciones obligatorias durante el proyecto. 4) Si comete a este proyecto, por favor no saca una vez usted ha comenzado secciones recipientes. Esto es injusto a los artistas que se someten el trabajo para su placer.

OMG.....26 copies???? There s this photocopy shop that is going to make a lot of money. 8 pages x 26 copies, hmmmmm, that is 208 mail art pieces. Can I subtract that from 365? Weee!

Gah. 26 8-page books.  I was getting nervous with 12 in the Alexander project.  Can we use the Solomon Islander's alphabet? It only has eleven letters.  And I must admit to some other misgivings; however, the idea of creating an archeological find and seeing all of your ideas in fascinating.  I'm gonna hem and haw on it for a while before I commit- this is a project that deserves the respect of follow-through.
