An Update about Devoted IUOMA Member Katerina Nikoltsou

A blog post seems the best way to reach as many friends and admirers of long-time mailartist and IUOMA member Katerina Nikoltsou.  (The messaging system here only allows me to sent messages to "common" friends that Kat and I share...and she has MANY more friends and acquaintances that deserve to know some of her latest news...)

Unfortunately, Kat had a terrible fall recently that required surgery and a shoulder joint replacement. In her own words:

"...I am recovering from a bad fall and surgery on Tuesday for the right shoulder joint replacement… that was smashed in the fall. Now back at home but difficult to blog and post here too..."

Since typing with her non-dominant hand is somewhat tiring, she is likely to be taking a break from posting her mailart blogs, documentation, and her blogs celebrating the streetart photos of Hamburg, Germany mailartist Erni Bär.  She asked me if I would message friends on the site, to let them know her circumstances...and that she'll be back to blogging as soon as she has recovered sufficiently from surgery. You may have already seen a post by her son somewhere on this site/forum. But she was concerned enough to ask me to post as well.

For now, I am sure she appreciates your thoughts and good vibes sent her way. She might even appreciate some mailart!  (HOWEVER...PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANYTHING LARGE OR OF PACKAGE SIZE.  The Athens post office in Greece will not deliver oversize pieces to Kat's residence...which means that she would have to make the effort to travel to the post office herself to pick it up—which she is in no condition to do at present!)

I will post any significant updates or messages from Kat in the comments below.
