How do you get access to this? You will first need to be friends with the developer on IG. And it's still in development, but is very interesting to find things that are going to be buried on Google searches.
Here's a collection of things found only after a brief search. Mail art / mail art related / and other images from somewhere out there on the internet.

Thanks for both perspectives.
Yes, it would be good for me to think things over sometimes. I'm too fast, which doesn't seem to be doing me any favors. (Although, according to some authors like Tony Buzan, reading speed actually increases comprehension 😉)
🖐️❗
I think the beautiful thing about mail art is that it is a very human thing. It's art, creativity, connection, even rebellion all rolled into one. AI feels very anti-human, anti-curiosity, anti-creativity. It is my personal choice to intentionally avoid engaging with AI whenever I can. Mail art is a slow medium found outside of art institutions and is very much about freedom of expression. Art, to me, is the antithesis of AI. I personally don't see the positive in this.
My friend has used Claude AI to build an app for finding connections. Beyond that the app is not constantly using AI. I say that just to clarify. I am not at all against using AI as a tool responsibly. There are some who are against AI. That is for them to feel their way through, I guess. Society as a whole is figuring out how to feel about AI, a new technology. Each tool comes with safety concerns. Fire cook meat, but fire also burn hand. BUT The development of new technologies is a constant in the story of humankind. There are always people who don't like the new technology, but those same people always like some other technologies that they've grown accustomed to.
I am using the app to find content for my blog. I have used outrageous and eccentric words in the IUOMA blog post title to attract attention.
AI bad for the environment? Any worse then chopping down forests for books, paper, and paint brushes? Using more power than millions of people watching TV and using the internet constantly? Mail art itself uses has environmental costs. Every technology people are comfortable using comes with some environmental or social consequences, which are not always addressed. Plastics for example...exploded in use...before anyone thought about microplastics decades later.
There are legitimate concerns. I don't dismiss them outright, but neither do I fall for the outrage of the month club's latest topics. There are people losing employment opportunities, but not from what I'm doing. On the other hand, there are other people gaining employment. The internet (eCommerce) was a giant killer of shopping malls, the music industry, bookstores, etc, but then again, the internet provided many new jobs and opportunities. Are data centers 100% evil? Some people don't like them I guess. Is AI going to destroy humanity? That's what people are afraid of. Humankind is at a high pressure, chaotic moment. Technology has gone J-curve.
The automobile was only invented ~100 years ago. The industrial revolution of the 1700s made laid the groundwork for the revolutionary developments in the 1800-1900s. Railroads, refrigerators, air conditioners, telephones, airplanes, nuclear weapons, cell phones, space shuttles, satellites, the internet, whatever other scientific and medical breakthroughs. Before that the pace of change was much slower, but ever-present. The agricultural revolution was only ~10,000 years ago.
There also the idea that there's a higher intelligence in the universe which one hopes will not let us destroy ourselves. We are living in a technological revolution and it is scary.
I may not fully understand the buzzwords being used here but it reads/sounds like AI/Machine Learning is being used to curate mailart? I couldn't think of a greater way to discourage joining or polarizing who actually will participate. Am I missing something?
Well you don't haaaave to have Instagram, but that's how you would contact the developer.
If you're interested, I can give you the email address.
It’s a shame that Instagram is necessary..
