In June 2020, the Fine Arts School of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil will house a MAIL ART exhibition and invites all the art community to participate! All the works received will be displayed (except for those who violate human rights).

The call, Re-volver, overlaps the verb and the noun: revolver (in portuguese, the act of revolving, turning over, displacing, changing positions) and revólver (in portuguese, a specific type of handgun), but does not delineate a theme. Plus, during the exhibition, it is expected that all the received pieces will be offered in their original envelopes to visitors, to be freely handled and “revolved” by them. The authors who wish to have their names included in the promotional material must simply identify themselves.

In general, it's been difficult to keep on working on the same projects that we started before the Coronavirus crisis, but I feel that this is something that helps me to have a better future in mind. Even though I'm not sure whether the exhibition model I had envisioned at first will be viable in June, I will figure out other possibilities for exposing the works received to the public and sharing them with the mail art network. Therefore, if you still feel like taking part in Re-volver, send your art to:
