Fluxus Words

Video made on the basis of several Fluxus Words made by Ruud Janssen. This selection contains acrylic painted words that are placed in a line and form a poem together. Some Fluxus words are sent into the Mail-Art network. Video made on November 7th 2010 by Ruud Janssen, TAM-Publications

The result of the performance can be a text, a visual poem, etc. Dick Higgins was one of the leading Fluxus people who also published his concrete poetry and invented Intermedia. Litsa Spathi developed the concept of Fluxus Poetry where the performance itself creates the result, a Fluxus Poem. With the use of computers a new result is generated after each performance. It is characterized by very quick cuts, that is several images per second, by wit, by the use of letters as a substitute for words
