Whole Holism and MinXus fabric art from Marie in Japan

The envelope always announces another beauty from Marie Wintzer.

On the high seas...(or what my river boat looked like with the Mistral blowing in France :-)

Flip side  of envelope:

and carefully opened...the full beautiful image:

Even the back side/inside paper of the envelope is a feast of Oriental wonders:

Contents: FAB!

First, a torn page with pomegranate  and fun characters on th back:

This with an invitation to make some "Holism"...yes, indeed,

done and sent already this morning. And the coincidence that I have

already sent another "Holism/Wholism" thing to Marie BEFORE her

invite arrived! Lots of holes and wholes in the mail to Japan!

(Sneak peek of pomegranate holes/anti-holes :-)

Aha! But what else was inside the beautiful Oriental envelope?

Marie sent this amazing, mysterious FAB FABric art:

with a little MinXus tag...and flowing threads of good karma...

Open , unfold, and more mysteries are revealed:

What are the dots? Bicycles...sorry...and how...woodblock...why April 29??? Mysterious journey here...

Fabric texture and color, plastic covers and staples, dots and dashes of white...

Each piece..a minimal masterpiece!

What does it all mean? Poetry...pure poetry from Marie!

Many, many, many thanks Cherry Blossom... xxx

Asemic Stitches bookie 1 - for Cheryl Penn

(YAY! Finally managed to copy an image from one place at ning to another place ;-)

Fine and delicate fabric art / pages are a Wintzer tradition!

Cut-up-clothing offers a textural...haptic...element,

(and perhaps lasting memories of the material's original use).

The above was for asemic writing, and Marie has used fabric base

for many other mail art pieces as well. Always elegant, always

very soft and pleasing as the fabric itself.

Thank you for yet another fanTAStic blog, Katerina!! And how do you manage to take that many great pictures of one single piece? :-)) I'm happy you liked it. DVS, the poem doesn't contain holes per se, but the envelope does.

Looking forward to the greatest dispatch of holes from Greece!!
