Still trying to find out when to blog the mail art I made.

Immediately after sending it?

Or when it arrived?

I like the surprise not knowing what to receive and you?

Yes, thanks, Katerina, that is the best solution.

It is a very nice gesture to the sender and the best way to let them know it arrived safely.

The surprise part is the best (p)art. Thanks and have a happy and creative evening!

I have to agree with the others, Emmy. There is the joy of SURPRISE! when the SENT mail art isn't e-blogged.

Here at the "blogs" on the main page, I show the mail art that has been RECEIVED. It is a way of acknowledging the art work of the one who sent it, and also a way of sharing with others. Often great discussions continue on related or not-so-related topics. I don't blog  the art work I send , once it is received, usually the recipient will blog it and if not, then I might place a photo or two on my page of my mail art work. This is a great place to display the great mail art that is received...like today, the Mail Art Monday!(me going to blog now....)

Yes, Val, Alicia, you are so right, I see the art blogged here, so now I will not look at this site again, just my own page and just peeking around the corner sometimes, I am a starter here, so not receiving multiple MA at the same day! This adrenaline shot by new unknown mail is quite addictive!!!

Have a nice evening and thanks for your reply!

yes, it is all about the surprise (personally anyway). walking to the mailbox, then a quick riffle through the stack, and like Halloween candy after a night of trick and treating back in the day, arranging it on the table and deciding which to open/read first.

Bonjour again Emmy,

Please look at the blog on my page 'What I dislike very much about receiving Mail Art' which addresses the issue that you raise here.

Tot ziens, Val

When it arrives and the recipient has acknowledged it!

Not before.

Otherwise it spoils the surprise, the anticipation, the excitement of opening the mail box and seeing what's inside, etc.

Regards, val
