Vispo Collab & Mail-Art Call from Chris "Mudhead" Reynolds (Payson, Arizona, USA)

Mudhead - 5.29.2014 - 1

Mudhead & DVS vispo collab received from IUOMA member Chris “Mudhead” Reynolds (Payson, Arizona, USA)

May 29, 2014 - Chris "Mudhead" Reynolds is a visual poet, writer, mail-artist, performance artist and visual artist who often works in the spirit of Fluxus. I have been a big fan for several years. Mudhead sent me (above) this collab he did using one of my concrete poems. I am deeply honored and thrilled to have a copy for the MinXus USA Archives. Here is the original piece:

neonism 1551

On the reverse side Mudhead included a call for mail-art:

Mudhead - 5.29.2014 - 2

This metaphysical/phenomenological mail-art call might challenge you in a very positive way! Note the specifics:

Mudhead - 5.29.2014 - 3

The envelope from Chris “Mudhead” Reynolds includes cryptic, associative, deep-structure rant notations:

Mudhead - 5.29.2014 - 4

And in particular the reverse:

Mudhead - 5.29.2014 - 5

Many thanks to Chris “Mudhead” Reynolds for the FAB work. His “Seers” group on Facebook is well worth a visit; you might want to join:

Susan & BG - I wish I could share some of Mudhead's classics like "Fluxus: Now in Living Color" & "Women of Fluxus" but I think the Flickr account is set to private. There is also documentation of his performance frying eggs on a hot Arizona street. He started some kind of movement called Possumism, Have fun.

It's a really great collaboration. It works beautifully. Maybe I'll send him something just because I like the name Mudhead.

How this happened - Mudhead & I were keeping track of each other's work on Flickr. He got the idea to use some of my concrete work as overlays. Then he started the SEERS group on FB & used this one. I think it works out well.

BG, I don't know if you know of or have already traded with Mudhead. If not, I think you'd really like him. This guy's work is great & he has a great sense of humor - more or less Fluxus. He's not very active on IUOMA-Ning these days so the recommend goes out to all friends here as well.
