I had been wondering what to send back to Laurence in response to the great little game she sent me naked in the mail.
A few days after it arrived, on garbage collection day, this was attached to my trash can:
And the back:
Really? The lid has been slightly damaged for over two years and suddenly I need to call for an appointment to fix the trash can which lives outside and is accessible to all who walk by?
In the meantime...
I thought this would be a perfect piece to send to Laurence.
Sorry, Janis Joplin, your stamp is the perfect match for this item:
Laurence received this just fine, and it must have been pulled out as non machinable at the post office, as some very nice postal worker gave it three perfect hand franks, as you can see here at Laurence's website.
And the trash can? Well, I didn't need an appointment, I had to call in for them to generate a work number and explain the work process to me. For that I needed the can's serial number - in all these years I had no idea it even had one, even thought it is right on the front.
So now it has a nice new lid, and all is well in the world of refuse management.
Comment
Well, Laurence did say she wanted 'unusual items' to be mailed, so I thought it qualified. And it was pristine, having only been *attached* to a trash can, rather than actually placed in one, or found on the ground. I will keep your wise words in mind, though, for future mailings.
Could be an issue for DKULTOH (DKult Ohio).
This looks like it worked for you & Laurence. That's great. But I can warn you from experience the French don't take well to Trashpo, generally speaking. Ever notice there is no DKULTFRA? Proceed at your own risk mailing trash to France. Just sayin
