So I wrote the below material on my blog and felt I needed to share it. Just a thank you to all you lovely people.
"I have to think the lovely people at IUOMA for getting me exciting about making things, no matter how stupid or trivial. Since joining that lovely group of people I’ve been overrun with ideas for projects. It started with trading postcards across the world with people that I’ll never meet, then I did that zine about China and sent it across the world, then the Nostrils project. Currently I’m working on sending larger tape pieces to people who’ve been kind to me in the network, and working on a second zine about me and the old lady’s trip out west. I guess I needed that courage to make something, send it out in the world, and have people say nice things or completely take a shit on it. Thankfully people have been really nice about my projects, saying wonderful things now and again-that reinforcement has put me in a place where I don’t want to stop making and sending and creating. The ideas for projects have even started to back up on me. I’ve got more paper products for postcards than I’ll ever be able to use, envelopes stamped and ready to be filled with zines.
I’ve even joined another network for trading things with strangers called We Make Zines. I’ve already sent out nine of my China zines and as soon as I finish my next one, I’ll add that one to the pile. Plus I’m thinking about the layout and strange distribution for my next Nostrils record that I’m shooting for December to finish.
I need to write a love letter to IUOMA and thank them for such kindness."
I guess this is that love letter.
Thanks and see everyone in the mail.

Suus, I have one that I've been sending out to people about my recent trip to China. If you'd like I'd be glad to send that one to you. Right now, like right now, I'm finishing up a zine about my summer cross-country trip. Hopefully I can have that one done in the next couple of weeks.
Please tell us (me!) more about the zines. Do you have a link?
Hey Pamela, that sounds great about SF. I didn't get to go to either location but I found a place near me that seems to have a similar function and it's great. I can't wait to see your new work and zine.
That is really nice, Jon. I agree - it is great to be part of a supportive community. I have met loads of new people too. Thanks for your latest card - one is on the way to you. I'm working on a zine too and will send you one when it is finished....next time you guys come to SF let's meet at SCRAP...or have coffee..
Nice words Jon. Iuoma-people inspires one really to try ideas, which has only been sleeping...
Well put, Jon. Probably many of us could write a similar thing, as this place has such an impact (many impacts, actually) if you are drawn in. Thom Courcelle wrote a thanking-IUOMA blog post on what was my first day exploring here last summer. What you have written will probably encourage more lurkers to come out, as Thom's did for me, so you have done a good deed. I still love the taped-collage cards you have sent me, so thank YOU again too.
Creating is so much fun Suus. I hate that it took me so long to find a way to properly create. I mean I'd written a lot of things and made some stupid songs and what not, but I'd never made a conscience effort to "put it out there."
I'm with you Svenja, it really has opened a lot of doors for me and I wanted to share that with everyone.
Jon, I'm feeling exactly the same way towards IUOMA and the wonderful iuomists... I'm a member for a year now and this "enriched" my life soooo much! Thanks for sharing!!
