Stunner from Nancy Bell Scott

Received this today from Nancy. It has her characteristic style of outlined abstraction-controlled chaos. Look like windows to another world that can not be contained by those two boxes. I love the layers of paint she has used. I also received a chubby envelope full of fantastic trash-including pulverized mcdonalds packaging. thank you for your generosity Nancy:)

It's just regular waxed paper (hard to tell in photos). This piece was made from two cutouts from the waxed papers put between book pages as I paint them. The edges stick out, so the waxed papers get painted with different layers and colors of acrylic paint (usually fluid acrylics), and they also get used underneath other things being painted in front of me at the work table. I love them. This is probably the first whole piece made from those messed up waxed papers, though bits of them are often used in other pieces. There are maybe three spots of inkpad ink, and other than that it's unaltered studio trash, so I thought it must be trashpo and had to give it to the queen. Thanks Alicia, it really is good to hear that you can still "see" me in this piece. One never knows when attempting to branch out.

You're right, Nancy can't do anything else than stunners.
