Having recently joined the IUOMA I thought it would be relevant to upload and mention my brief involvement with Ryosuke Cohen, a major mail artist. You can read a nice description of him here.
This was the second time I engaged in purposeful mail art with an established mail artist. It was very satisfying as I received something in return. In this version, called 'Life Form' my sticker was included. I was well chuffed! You can see a pic of a full sheet of stickers in my photos.
The first mail art I made for someone not friend or family, was with Francis Van Maele, prolific book artist and partner of Antic-Ham (Books published together under name Frantic-Ham), and publisher of Red Fox Press in Achill Island, Ireland. I made a fish card for their project named 'The Fish'. My contribution eventually ended up in a book, which was ever changing with new additions.

I, of course, was compelled to purchase the version with my piece in it, albiet, unfortunately, without any discount!
I love the free-style engagement and format of mail art, and interaction with strangers from around the world. Only hitch is it takes a fair bit of time, which I'm already stretching to the limit! Perhaps for another blog: Am I stretching myself too broadly?
If anyone has heard of/received any Brain Cell mail art, or participated with Francis, please leave a comment!

Hi Leslie,
No sore spot. Sorry if I made you feel like that. Always glad to see more of Ryosuke's work being appreciated. The discussion group is located at:

http://iuoma-network.ning.com/forum/topics/brain-cell-ryosuke-cohen

So there you can discover more about the project and some samples what he has done.

This NING platform contaions already so much information that one doesn't always find it all.

Hi Ruud,
Thanks for your comments! (feels like I stepped on a sore spot.) Where is your special discussion group, please fill me in! Perhaps I'm too much of a newbie! Thanks again for your feedback.

There is a special discussion group where we track the Brain Cells. I started with participating in number 1, so I met Ryosuke once too and we know eachother from the 80-ies. Also Francis is a good friend and indeed he publishes wonderful books....
