Received from Valentin Dolgov, Russia--tribute to Yuri Gagarin

Valentin's admiration for Gagarin's accomplishment is evident in this terrific mail art ensemble. Gagarin was the first person to journey in space in 1961--a significant leap into the void if there ever was one. His 50th anniversary for the event will undoubtedly be celebrated with a big hurrah this spring. Outer space has captured the imagination of people everywhere and of course, it is only human to wonder what's out there. Valentin's remarkable envelope even has an IUOMA officialness look to it and Gagarin appears to fully support IUOMA efforts. I like that. The various postage stamps make the mail art extra special. Thank you very much, Valentin.
