RECEIVED: Clearly Jen Staggs Is Now A Member of the Postage Due Club (Dallas, Texas, USA)

Mail-art by IUOMA member Jen Staggs (Dallas, Texas, USA)

May 5, 2010 - Have you ever fallen into some kind of network black hole with a mail-art friend? This has been happening to me and Jen Staggs, probably for two months. This great concept piece - a clear piece of plastic - finally arrived for real for sure a long time after I had sent her a message saying I sure wish I had one of these for my collection.

Something happened in the postal system, beyond my usual disorientation and disorganization or any error on Jen's part. I clearly look at the postage due stickers as contributing to making this a real piece of interactive mail-art. So this turned out very well.

Some time ago I did start my Postage Due Club, and this qualifies Jen for membership. She joins luminaries such as Diane Keys in this elite and exclusive group. I think "No po" will have to represent "No postage" in this case.

But seriously Jen, thanks and I hope the cosmic logjam that has been messing up our exchanges has been loosened.

O - and DK was going on about all her vegan stuff. Sounded like a Holy Roller = HoRo

All this has made think about Nopo, Hopo, and HoHoPo. I have to ask Marie Wintzer if HoPo = Hole Poetry or is connected. Where's DK? Did she check into a Ho-Tell?

Hee!  Ho Po.  I know I've sent out some images of naughty ladies, but Ho is really too much!  I also loved seeing Katerina's Mail Art Train of Thought.  A great visual!

HoPO? Hopi? Earth to DK - you Postage Due Clubbers sure stick together

I actually saw this as HoPO and was even further intrigued. That finger does feel rather judgemental. I really do need to tithe to the Holy Church of NoPo. Inter denominational and highly inflammatory.nice Jen!

Gold star Skybridge - ZenJen - I'll make sure that sticks. Postal Haiku = Postal Hike. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."

Katerina, res-train yourself! Jen's piece is perfect for showing the involvement of the postal people in the art with their stickers.

MW, I don't like those pointy finger stickers either. Especially these days, I can see why anyone would get a little nervous having the US gov pointing a bony finger at them.
