My mailman was wildly impressed this one. The pacifier goes all the way through the cardboard and all stayed intact. I like the idea of infantilizing records-Janis Joplin no less.  This MA made me smile-how could it not? And the story makes it that much more historical and significant to me. The message of this piece couldn't have come along at a better time  "Keep plugging away (great pun), one never knows what tomorrow may bring" Thanks Dean.--fabulous piece!

Thank you for this information.  The 45 rpm project looks super.  I'm glad I wasn't around then!  Funny enough I am working on a 45 rpm piece for Val.  That show still keeps going around in my head; "taking pictures of records and selling them framed for an unspeakable price?"  Surely above me ...  then again, how do I know that they sold any?  Or at least enough to pay for all the champagne!  PS I arrived home fine, but I might have left a glass slipper at the gallery.

Some time ago, Virgy Milici in Italy had a mail art project and exhibit with 45 rpm records

and they were amazing! Although I had to send mine in a bubble-wrap envelope, not as much fun as having just the record maied and stamped!

Now that is true trashpo...found-on-the-ground... as only Dean can spot 'em!

I am always soo amazed how Dean's 3-D masterpieces survive postal deliveries!!!

(and how did he bicycle home after that champagne exhibit???)
