One Mail Piece Deserves Another--But This One Weighed a Ton from Erni

Oh my... Erni's done gone and overdone himself again!  I recently got a great big box from Erni--it was awaiting me on my doorstep when I got home one evening in January.  I opened the door, and then tried to grab it to bring it inside... but it was so heavy that I nearly felled myself over!  With the iconic images and wisdom sayings on the outside package, it couldn't have been from anyone but Erni...

GEEZ!!!  And that's just the OUTSIDE PACKAGING!!!

So inside was Erni's version of a Trashbook.  It was a full size binder like you'd find at a legal office, with lots and lots of plastic coverlet pages, each with its own double sided cardboard collage.  THAT'S A LOT OF COLLAGE!!!  I don't think I could create that much collage within a 6-month preiod!  But that Erni--he's proficient!!

Each page is it's own mandala, it's own unique meditation page--all VERY unique--but with hints and slivers of cross-references... kind of like extra large tarot cards.  I will only post the first several pages of the book here, because to do them all would be...well, a BOOK!!  Enjoy this tantalizing sample:

One wonders how so many vibrant and amazing images can be found in our world EVERY DAY.  Modern technology and the modern world, and advertising, and marketing literally BOMBARD us with visual delights everywhere we turn.  It is easy to see how it can make some people anxious or a little crazy.  Sometimes there is so much that I think we have to let it wash over us like white noise and tune out.  But Erni shows that if one concentrates and focuses and selects the visual delights from our overcrowded world, it can enlighten us with new boundaries and blossoming ideas.

Thank you, Erni -- I will be studying and delighting in these "meditations" for some time!

Now THIS is a Trashpo BOOK! What a wonderful concept in a file folder, and Erni's "domestic  garbage" on one side and "UHU glupics" on the other...amazing! Some beauties for meditation, Thom, thanks for blogging. It is wortj its weight in GOLD !
