This two-piece art from Marie wants to hang by its delicate threads: I know it does! yet haven't figured out yet how to do it well. And that's fine, because just holding it is enjoyable, and calls up many associations aside from the wonderful ways Marie uses text: there is also the swimming aspect in this work, and that movement is mesmerizing. I love it, as I do the book that arrived in the same envelope. Favorite pages are scanned, starting with the cover, but the whole piece is touching and beautiful in the special ways that are unique to Marie. Thank you so much, Marie ~

Very wonderful, I love the telegramm!!
Oh yah, the fainting couch! One is always needed when YOUR work arrives. I love the fat pig in the sky, yes, and appreciate the history of your finding it. Great find, and I hope you still have parts we'll see in the future.
Nancy, thank you for such a nice blog. Do you remember you sent me two very special pieces? Those REALLY needed a fainting couch.
Fat pig in the sky made me laugh, I'm glad you like it! It's from an english grammar book (for japanese), very old, and somebody has left scribbles and notes in there while studying english. Someone with a sense of humor, and I felt privileged to find it several decades later, just by chance.
Oh, and thanks for uploading all these pictures!
p.s. Don't you love the fat pigs in the sky meadow?! (I saw some in the sky late last night.)
