I really love the earth tones and textures of the three different papers she use adding a splash of gold on what seems to look like a ribbon going over the 171 piece of paper. Thanks for sharing your minimal art with me Nancy.  It really stands out with the white background.

I'm so on the same page with Nancy. I love minimalism too, and this is wonderful. Just presenting the "171" without any apparent reference - that makes it for me in addition to the gorgeous colors and textures - not your garden variety sterile minimalism. Why do all those artists think it has to always look like a hospital?

Wow, thank you, prettylily and Catherine.  The opinion is mutual, I hope you know.

Oh and Sue, see what I mean about the purple dots?  I couldn't stop and just let it be a 3-scrapper ...

I really don't think I have seen a piece by Nancy that did not inspire me.  This is no exception!  Thanks for posting it Roberto.

Roberto, thank you for putting my first minimal piece on your blog, I appreciate that.  The scrap with gold on it is paper -- but it's from a page that I glazed many times before ending with the light coat of gold, so I can see how it might look like ribbon.

I sent you something else today, Roberto.  I had a little present for you, and wanted to include a non-minimal piece too, so they are on their way.
