Mail Received - Vizma Bruns

Here is the bookie I received from Vizma, from recent Trashpolitzer fame. This is a little masterpiece too.
It is a true labour of love with lots of tiny details, stamps, paper scraps such as musical notes and security envelope, cut out words from book pages, packaging tape, washi tape, coloured staples, gold leaf, a dried flower and an amazing selection of hilarious and beautiful rubber stamp prints. The envelope is made of a page from an atlas.

I am having so much fun going through it and studying every page and all those juxtapositions - packaging tape next to gold leaf, who but Vizma would think of that? Is it a continuation of the theme of femininity and masculinity?

It makes me imagine an unwritten novel by Somerset Maugham about a travel writer who falls in love with a beautiful and wise woman on Bruns Island, one of the lesser known oriental outposts of the British Empire. It all ends tragically, of course. Thank you so much, I am honored, Vizma.
