I was so excited to receive mail art from Vizma once again. After her trip to the US and being robbed by Rooty Tooty the homeless souvenir, it is no wonder that all she has left to make art with is trash. Wish makes me very happy!! This awesome trashbook is bound with a think silver thread. The handwritten poem? Note to self? reads:
"Kept fish?
in the dark
liquid
lack of light
water fish
change coming
(woody's party)
smell of rain
sweat
turning nasty"
there is a flyer for the Adelaide Shell Show, which sounds fantastic. I've never heard of such a thing. But the piece de resistance is the "Trashy treats from Artspace floor" she included. There is thread, leaves, fuzz, a hot button, and a chunk of fur. Could this be road kill? Kangaroo? Are they even fuzzy? Is this a chunk of dog fur? is this from Rooty Tooty?clearly it is not Vizma's hair.
She has even made the envelope completely unique with the writing of my name and Rue Paul and shim's admonishment.I think I fear shim even more than Steve the Sleve and it's good to know that someone has our back. Thank you for this great and thoughtful mail art. She has also included one of her very cool business cards-what does Australiam mean?

oh it's Divine! Never saw that movie. I use Vistaprint too, but my cards aren't nearly as fancy as yours. I go through them for my website too. I'm sure it's more expensive than other providers, but it is truly easy to set up and maintain. I know so little about web sites that I need it to operate like toast--push a button and it's done
Vizma, I didn't know it wasn't your hair, I just hoped it wasn't. I've never seen any kind of fur like that and I am ecstatic to think that I might have Roo Road Kill. And I was admiring your drag queen stamp. And now I see that is is mail art backwards-your cards look fantastic.
Hee hee! This is funny! Thanks Dye Yankees for blogging! AUS for Aussie and Tra Liam is mail art backwards, borrowed from the infamous rubber stamp episode.
How did you know that the fur wasn't my hair? Very perceptive...I found it on the driveway on the way to the letterbox. I wouldn't be surprised if it was kangaroo, but I'm not sure. Any more questions, dear? Oh, and where's Ru Paul? :-P
Hoping Vizma weighs in here. I have so many questions!
Great to see Vizma back in action! :)
