LAST CALL!

2020 has been a year in which everything happened although the feeling is that nothing happened at all. Maybe that is so because, without sharing this everything, without the touching and the exchanges, things end up feeling only but a dream (or a nightmare). When I opened this mail art call, I could not have imagined all the things that would happen in 2020, but how pleased am I that one of them is Re-volver. Until now the call has received 175 posts from 30 countries and 4 continents (Africa, America, Asia and Europe), among which are collages, drawings, poetry, zines, paintings, texts, photographs, prints, gifs, videos, stamps and works I could never classify.

Thinking about how 2020 has influenced all those works and even the meaning of this call, I’ve decided to close it on January 15th 2021.

Since the activities at the university that will house the official exhibition don’t have a forecast return date yet, I’ll follow the mail art example of finding new paths. I’ll organize an online exhibition in 2021 hoping that, this way, it becomes more accessible and, when it’s again safe for visiting, the exhibition at the gallery will also happen. For now, there’s still time to send your works by mail or e-mail!

Finally, I want to thank a lot for the trust that all participant artists have put in this exhibition. You are awesome!
