I got an AMAZING brown box in the mail.  Honestly, it was VERY well constructed.  I've made some boxes in my day for mailing stuff, and this one put mine to shame.

But I digress!  I am not blogging about the box, I'm blogging about the fluffy blue tissue inside, which contained within it's folds A HAND GNIT, intricately tiny and well made GNOME with a BIG WHITE BEARD!

This is a full on, wind flapping, fuzzy white beard, and it's soft - clearly well maintained.  The Gnome is knit so fine Shellie had to use embroidery floss and the smallest knitting needles produced to create it.  There is also an ANIMATION available on the web, which I will be happy to share once I learn how to type it into the search bar correctly (read: stay tuned here).

My cat, being beautiful, sweet and well - adored, assumed I was willing to share said Gnome, and at least one of his mushrooms.  As soon as I took these pictures she made off with both.  Luckily I found them undamaged nearby and promptly stole them back.  They'll be going to my work with me to be in a cat-free environment (and on display to more humans).

The mushrooms are light, firm but slightly squishy, and delicately painted.  Shellie?  You're the BOMB!  This entire package is delightful, adorable and brightens my world.  THANK YOU!

And then it got meta - the Gnome?  Came with a small envelope?  With miniscule envelopes in it of all HIS mail.  And a Chicken card for me.  Why?  Because Shellie.  And I'm not worthy.  THAT'S why!

THANK YOU SHELLIE!!!
